Bio

After ending a lucrative commercial (more than a dozen national campaigns including Mountain Dew, Pepsi, McDonalds, Wrigley?s, Hasbro and Mitsubishi) and television acting career (The Shield, Bufffy the Vampire Slayer, Diagnosis Murder, VIP, and Fastlane) to pursue his writing interests, Corey Blake founded Elevation 9000 Films in 2000 and headed the original Elevation 9000 Film Lab that eventually inspired the motion picture production company LA Film Lab Entertainment (www.lafilmlab.com) and the Writers of the Round Table Inc. (www.writersoftheroundtable.com), Corey?s literary development company. Over the past seven years Corey has assisted in the development of more than two hundred screenplays and novels. He has won nine festival awards for his work in entertainment and has contributed articles to nearly three dozen industry publications including Script Magazine, Writer Magazine (cover article of July, 2006 issue) and the Los Angeles Journal. Corey?s work as a writer and development producer has been featured in articles in Backstage West, MovieMaker Magazine, Hollywood Scriptwriter Magazine and Dance Magazine. He was recently a guest lecturer at the Midwest Literary Festival (Sept 2006), last year?s Screenwriting Expo 4 (November 2005) at the LA Convention Center and spoke this year at the Virginia State Reading Association Conference (March 2006) and the Spring into Romance Writing Conference (March 2006). Corey is currently in active development of two fantasy fiction manuscripts, one historical fiction manuscript, two memoirs, three professional books with high profile experts, and five screenplays. Corey?s name is attached as the author or co-author to eleven projects for release in 2007 and 2008.
